THIS WEEK’S RANDOM QUESTION: What book would you currently recommend to someone? Why?

Right now if I was going to recommend a book to someone it would be Storm Front by Jim Butcher. It is the first in the Dresden series. Why would I recommend it? Because I really enjoyed the book and the whole series. Due to stress and life and being so busy I am once again behind on my reading challenge. I hope to make up the behind part but that is beside the point. Storm Front because it got me on a kick of books that I loved. I enjoyed them so much and could not get enough. I may go back and listen to all of them again because that got me so inspired and excited. Right now everytime I look at the book I started 2 months ago I just kind of go, meh. That is not the books fault either. I love the book but I am just feeling meh about reading currently. So..Storm Front for being good and exciting and making me happy about books.

Then fingers crossed that I can catch up on my books for my challenge because I am way behind.

THIS WEEK’S RANDOM QUESTION: Where is the strangest place you’ve ever read a book? OR… Where is the strangest place you’ve ever found a crazy-good book, unexpectedly?

It did not seem weird to me at the time but it has since been pointed out to me that reading a book on horse back might be weird. lol I have read a book while riding a horse.

THIS WEEK’S RANDOM QUESTION:What types of “special” books do you own? For example, do you have any really old books? Any collections based on your interests (eg. architecture, etc)?

I have some special edition bound Mark Twain books. I also of course have books on special interests, horses, horse back riding and training and crochet. I could use more crochet books but I have not been very confident in my skills at reading patterns until more recently.

I have a few kindred reading buddies and I love that I do because when I find a new book or series I know they will enjoy I jump around happily to share it. For me one of the great joys of reading is to share it.

THIS WEEK’S RANDOM QUESTION: What would you do if you wanted to buy a book for someone, but didn’t know what they like to read? Would you ask them? Would you choose something you, yourself, like? How would you go about buying them something?

I would ask them or I would get them a gift card. It is the best way to do it, no sense in beating around the bush when it comes to book purposes!

THIS WEEK’S RANDOM QUESTION: Do you prefer Hardcover, Trade Paperback, or Mass Market Paperback? Why?

Oh this is a tough one though I have to say overall I prefer Trade paperbacks. They are bigger like Hardcover but not as heavy. There are days where I am exhausted but can’t sleep it can be to tough to hold up a whole hardcover, so trades thumbs up!
