Happy Teaser Tuesday everyone. Sammie is doing great, she can start going back to the puppy park tomorrow evening per the vet. I am very happy about that she has been a bundle of energy! I hope she never gives me a scare like that again. I am just glad she is good, healed and her happy self. Her and Dean don’t like I keep taking toys from them when they rip them LOL but I am taking zero chances. New Years was good, it sounded like a war zone around here but thankfully the puppies didn’t mind to much. Only a couple super loud ones made them bark a bit.

Happy Teaser Tuesday everyone. Thank you for keeping my Sammie in your thoughts. She came through the surgery with flying colors. The vet was very happy with the procedure and her entire team day and night fell in love with her. Every single person I spoke with could not say enough how sweet she was. She started eating was soon as they offered her some food in recovery. She did everything they asked her like a champ. We were able to visit her later in the day on Christmas Eve and she was in good spirits. She got to come home on Christmas Day. It was not the Christmas I expected but it was a fantastic Christmas anyways because she was home with us. She has continued to recover very well here at home. She hates the cone of shame but wears it when I am at work (when I am home she just wears her surgery suit) and most of all she hates that she can’t rough house or run with her brother. She also is not a fan of the rice in the bland diet. Here is hoping New years Eve is much less adventurous for us, LOL.

Happy Teaser Tuesday everyone. My teaser won’t be new this week. I am just putting the post up and this little update. Sammie graduated advanced training Sunday. I am so proud of her. Sadly, she ate something either late Sunday (most likely) or early early Monday and has an obstruction. She is at the emergency vet in the ICU having major surgery as I type this at almost 4am. Please keep her in your thoughts and whomever you pray to. This is not how I expected her first Christmas to go. She has a fantastic team. This is still a very very major survey and I am terrified.

Happy Teaser Tuesday everyone! Surgery went great for both pups. Dean is nearly 72lbs and Sammie is nearly 60. The vet staff was amused (in a very loving way) that the bigger one was also the “chicken”. He would not come out of the kennel to get his sedation shot. He just sat in the corner and cried. Until they brought Sammie out then he followed her right along. Got his shot and all went well. I did warn them that Dean was a big baby and a mama’s boy but he would pretty much go anywhere with his sister. So I am glad they took that note. Recovery is going well. Although today they both chewed the straps off their surgery suits. I did threaten them with putting the cones of shame back on (they only had the cones on for the car ride home lol) but honestly neither one of them have showing any interest in the surgical spots at all. So I think we will just be monitoring for now and I will play by ear if I need to try and repair the suits or put the cones on.

Happy Teaser Tuesday everyone! We seem to have cracked the code on getting Dean to stay. He is becoming more consistent after literally taking it back to baby steps. He is a velcro dog, which will be great for his service dog work when he’s bigger but bad when he needs to stay to pass canine good citizen lol. I was able to get 20 feet away from him at home though using our new method before he got anxious. So fingers crossed. He will however be missing class this week (he will get a makeup class) because today Dean and Sammie are off to the vet for spay and neuter surgery. Sammie can go to class as she will be 5 full days out but it would be too early for Dean. We will still work at home though for a short session on Thursday and longer ones after that until school again. I am a bundle of nerves about surgery day but I am sure they will be fine and its for their own good and health.

Happy Teaser Tuesday everyone! First week of advanced puppy classes went really well! Yay puppy class again lol puppy class and puppy training is my life lately. I will be glad when the intense basics are done, but that won’t be the end of it. Since my pups are destined to be my service dogs, and possibly therapy dogs to visit hospitals and old assisted living places (we have so many here). IMO that will be more fine tuning though less intense. Dean is still struggling with stay but he is improving, we love progress. His recall is not to be beat though. He even broke away from playing with his bestie Augie this week to run to mom when I called. Sammie well she had fun showing up literally every dog who even already passed the canine good citizen test and visited her class this week with her stay, lol. Little show off. Her loose leash walking is improving but still her weak spot too, again we love progress though. (this was last weeks teaser I didn’t see that WordPress didn’t post it as scheduled. sorry! So I will use it this week since Dean didnt end up having class anyways cause of Turkey day)

Happy Teaser Tuesday everyone! First week of advanced puppy classes went really well! Dean struggled with stay but he did aces at everything else on the list that day. He is a champ at stopping when I stop, loose leash walking, weaving, greeting properly etc. stay is his weak spot but we have been working on it and will keep working on it. Sammie well she aced everything this week and fell in love with her one classmate a Great Dane named Rocket. The feeling is mutual we all found it adorable how smitten they are with each other. I even heard her bark for the first time (she is more of a alerting with her whole body kinda girl) because she was sure a cardboard cut out of a cat was coming for Rocket when he wasn’t looking.

Happy Teaser Tuesday everyone! So PetSmart changed things and the advanced classes that were going to be in Jan are now intermediate which we already did, LOL. SOOOO we start our new round of training this week. I am a little nervous because they will again be the youngest in class and I think the youngest by a lot. However, they are good dogs. Love training and love their trainer. I know he wants us to succeed and our goal is to pass the canine good citizen test on the first go. I have looked over the test and know where our weak spots are so I know what we need to work on. Downside for me is finding time outs..ide of class to work on the items that involve more people (walking around crowds, calmly being pet etc) I will find a way to make it work though. Most of what they do in that area is just puppy behavior anyways. More trips to Lowes in our future lol and the used bookstore that is pet friendly of course!

Happy Teaser Tuesday everyone. Halloween was a hit here. Dean had training so I didn’t get to go as big as I wanted to do. It was okay still dressed up and still had fun. Dean loved class, sad this week is the last for now. Both Dean and Sammie have been invited to come to other classes as ambassadors between now and when they start advanced class in January. So we are going to do that for sure. Dean was not the only pup dressed up either which was fun.

Happy Teaser Tuesday everyone. Dean has been doing really well on the supplements so I think they will work. He looks less like a bandit and his tummy hair has grown back in as well. Sammie has not stopped picking on him, haha but that is just the usual. They love each other, but they bicker. I am looking forward to their first Halloween.
